Homework

Social Studies week of 9/17

We are starting our exciting journey into the world of Ancient Mesopotamia.  Students will study and discuss many of the historical, geographical, and cultural aspects of this civilization.

This week, we will begin by reading the first section and taking notes in an organized outline.  Students will be provided with a guided outline that follows the textbook, and pulls out the important information.  We will have a quiz on Friday, so study outline #1 and your map.

I have attached a copy of outline #1 to work on at home, or print off if you lose you copy.

Science - Sept. 7

There will be a test next week - either the 11thor 12th- on the Moon.  Students who were absent today should be sure to get notes from their homework buddy as this material is not in the science text.  There is not a lot of homework in science but students need to spend time studying and learning the material in their notes and packets.

Students need to bring a shoe box for science.   It must be here at school by next Wednesday the 12th.

**NOTE** All students have been asked to find a homework buddy for EACH of their classes.  The homework buddy should be someone in the class who can pick up extra worksheets, etc. as well as pass on their notes and any information classwork and assignments.

Skills

This week in Skills class, we are exploring different methods of bullying.  Could you be a harasser?  What is gossip?  Can gossip be a form of bullying?  What is taunting?

We will discuss how to stop bullying and how you can stand up for other people when they are being a bully.  Don't be a bystander who does nothing to help.
