Please take a moment to look over it to see how well your child did, what to do to keep healthy, or what to do to improve on any weaknesses. It will show the results for Aerobic Capacity, Muscle Strength, Endurance and Flexibility, and Body Composition.

The 8th grade physical education classes are involved with Flag football, Ultimate Frisbee, Physical Fitness, and Soccer. In Flag football the was a quick review of skills and rules, then coed games were played. A short quiz was given on flag football and their cooperation and participation in the sport was graded.

The sport of ultimate frisbee was introduced to the classes. Three ways of throwing. three ways of catching, practiceing these skills, and a short video on rules was shown. Games were played and the classes seemed to start to pick it up well.

Physical fitness is the present unit where the five componebts of physical fitness are reviewed;

Muscular strength, muscular endurance, body composition, cardiovascular endurance, and flexibility.

The 8th Girls Volleyball Team did it again...

The Lady Jaguars defeated yet again another team.  Lincoln Hall had their first home game of the season against Old Orchard on Friday, September 21st.  Rachel F. had a 9 point scoring rally during the first game.  Despite a jammed finger, Kelsey G. set up her fellow team mates flawlessly.  They beat the Bulldogs with a score of 25-7 during the first game and 25-20 to wrap up the match.  The Lady Jaguars are off to a GREAT start to their season with a 3-0 record, keep it up!!!

Understanding the Adolescent and How To Teach Them

At Lincoln Hall we understand the stages of growth and we know that adolescence is a difficult time. Our students are beginning to explore their world and they are trying to find out where they fit in the world. They often test limits and their moods can swing from minute to minute. Some of our teachers are doing a book study on best schools and how our understanding fits into the way we teach and relate to our students.

Click here to view the book we are reading. If you are interested in reading the whole article, please let the office know and we can have you read one of our copies.
