We finish The Giver this week - last test on Friday.
We're still working on prepositions - keep memorizing!
We're done with Six Traits and now we're going to put them to use - get ready for a Narrative Essay.
 We're going to the library this week and our last book report is June 2.

This week we try to concentrate on...
The Giver - Test on Monday, then on to Chapters 13 - 17. Don't forget to study your vocab for any possible "pop" quiz!
Adverb test on Tuesday, then on to prepositions.
Six Traits moves on to "Conventions", you know...punctuation, grammar, paragraphing, spelling and capitalization.
Book report due on May 5.Â

We will be reading our biographies in-class. All biographies should be done by Thursday of this week. We are also trying to find an internet article that complements our book by using the COWS in-class.

Writing - We will finish the vocabulary unit Monday and the test is Wednesday. We also continue to work on pronouns.
Long term assignment - Book Report (Letter to the author) due Wednesday, January 23rd.
