Reading and Skills - This week we are reading the short story called "The Monkey's Paw," by W.W. Jacobs, which is filled with foreshadowed events. We are working on identifying these events as we read.

10/9 - Hmwk: Read 30 minutes, Vulture Eye project due Thursday

10/10 - Hmwk: Read 30 minutes, Vulture Eye project due Thursday

10/11 - Hmwk: Read 30 minutes

10/12 - EXPERIENCIA DAY (7th grade students have a special schedule and 8th graders will have a chance to work on homework during class.)

Language Arts - We will be continuing our Capitalization Unit, working on our Vocabulary Unit 2 work, and beginning our 6 Traits of Writing curriculum.

10/9 - HMWK: Vocab Unit 2-Highlight words and complete sentences.

10/10 - HMWK: Vocab Unit 2-notecards. Rewrite "Horses" so that it will receive a 5 or a 6 on the IDEAS rubric.

10/11 - HMWK: Vocab Unit 2- Section 2. Capitalizationn Packet pp. 110/111.

10/12 - EXPERIENCIA DAY
