Getting Through the School Day!

If your child is exhibiting minor symptoms of illness, without a fever, and you decide to send them to school, please allow them to take an over-the-counter remedy to help them get through the school day. Many children I ask are stating they did not take anything for pain or cold symptoms before coming to school. If you are going to give cold medication, please make sure it is a non-drowsy formula.  Be careful not to give medications together as some medications contain multiple ingredients and you may run the risk of over-medicating your child. You can check with a pharmacist to find the best choice for your child.
