MEDICATION INFORMATION ! ! !

Please make sure you review the rules for medication administration in the student handbook. Students have been coming in to my office to ask about taking medications for which they do not have a permission slip. Your children can only have medication administered at school, prescription or over-the-counter, if there is a permission slip signed by both the parent and the doctor. The parent needs to be the one to bring the medication to school. Only unexpired medications will be accepted, so please check the expiration dates of all meds, including inhalers, before bringing them to school. Please do not allow your child to carry any medication either, all medications should be stored in the nurse's office with the exception of inhalers or Epipens.  If your child is carrying unauthorized medication, it will lead to disciplinary action.Â
