R.I.P. Appleworks...be ready
Hello folks!
Appleworks will be sunsetted at Lincolnwood after this year. That means it will no longer be available as a program on anyone's computer. If you have any Appleworks documents (papers, spreadsheets, etc) in your user folder that you want to be able to open up again next year, you need to convert it to a Microsoft Word/Excel document.
Directions:
1. Create a folder in your user folder of appleworks files you would like to convert. These can be word processing documents and/or spreadsheets.
2. Use spotlight finder to find "Magic Word Converter". Click on application to open
3. Select which folder you would like to convert.
4. A dialogue box will appear telling you your files have been converted.
5. Within your conversion folder, 2 new folders will appear with your Word and Excel documents in it that you can open next year!
**If you only have one document to convert, you can just drag it from its location to the Word icon on your Mac dock. The document will open as a Word document and you can save it and re-open it next year!
Please let Mr. Heineman or I know if you have any questions or need help! Thanks!
- Ms. Truesdell
