In class, I started with slide 36 in the PowerPoint show, which is about half-way through it. At that point it is about the Groups (or Families –which are the vertical columns) of the Periodic Table. [To get to Slide # 36 in the slideshow, you can scroll down the side bar on the right side of the screen. ]
In class we are using this slideshow to learn about each of the Groups.
You will learn:
- some common characteristics of the elements in each Group.
- The names of some of the elements
- The valence electron structure (number of electrons in the outer shell)
