6th GRADE
Students are now in the process of finishing their sculpture with paint. These sculptures will be displayed in the school library for the rest of the year. Students will be able to pick up their sculptures two weeks before the end of the year and bring them home.
7th GRADE
This week, students will start creating a painting based on the Impressionist style. After choosing on of the Impressionist artists that we looked at, students will create a sketch using the typical subjects of Impressionist painters (landscapes and people), which will then be turned into their painting.
8th GRADE ART
Students are starting to create a painting based on the artist they did their research on. The idea is based on “discovering” a new painting by their artist that has never been seen before. Students will start on acrylic paint once their sketch for their painting is done.
8th GRADE VIDEO TECH
PSA’s will be finished this week, and we will have our screening. SWANCC (Solid Waste Agency of Northern Cook County) will receive the videos and let us know who the winners are that will be shown on Community Cable! Please sign and return the video release that was given to students last week for SWANCC. Thanks! Afterwards, we will talk about our last (?) video project.
