Week #6
6th GRADE
We have started on the 3-D sculpture project based on traditional Chinese animal sculptures. Students are now in the process of finishing their armature – or, just beginning to apply the paper mache to the armature of their sculpture.
7th GRADE
We have moved from ceramics to the Impressionist painters, and all students have studied the Impressionist and had an opportunity to play a interactive art history computer game based on the Impressionists.  This week, students will start creating a painting based on the Impressionist style.
8th GRADE ART
Students have created a poster containing the pertinent facts regarding their well known artist . Now, they will create a painting in their artists style based on the idea that they discover/find a painting by that artist that has never been seen before. What does it look like? This is their challenge…Â
8th GRADE VIDEO TECH
The production time period is over for the PSA’s – now comes the editing. Students will edit and then add music to the PSA – after which they will be entered into the contest sponsored by SWANCC (Solid Waste Agency of Northern Cook County) – the winners will be shown on Community Cable!
