Week #5
6th GRADE
Students have completed their perspective drawing and soon the final products will be displayed for all to enjoy.  We will move on to a 3-D sculpture project based on traditional Chinese animal sculptures.Â
7th GRADE
Students have finished their ceramics project up to the greenware stage – that grade covers the construction of the project up to the first firing. We will move on to learn about the Impressionist painters, and later on, base a painting on the Impressionist style.
8th GRADE ART
Students have finished their ceramics project up to the greenware stage – that grade covers the construction of the project up to the first firing. The ceramic pieces will be finished with glaze after they come out of the kiln. In the meantime, students will pick a well known artist that they would like to find out about, and eventually use as the basis for their own painting.Â
8th GRADE VIDEO TECH
We have started on our PSA’s (Public Service Announcements). These PSA’s will be about recycling, and will be entered into a contest sponsored by SWANCC (Solid Waste Agency of Northern Cook County) – the winners will be shown on Community Cable!
