Week #3
Submitted by Mr MacCrimmon on Sun, 2008-02-10 13:17.
6th GRADE
The final figure drawing is finished, and we will begin to study the basics of perspective drawing. Students will complete a perspective drawing using colored pencils to finish - you will see the final products up in the hall.
7th GRADE
The Village of Lincolnwood Vehicle registration sticker designs were completed (some nice ideas!), and we have started in on our ceramics unit. Students start by designing a functional container that they could use at home – such as a mug, vase, jewelry box, etc…, after which they will learn the slab and coil methods of construction.
8th GRADE ART
After looking at Maria Martinez, the famous Native American potter, and her work, students designed a personalized container. Students are now working with the ceramics as they start on constructing their design.
8th GRADE VIDEO TECH
Students took the quiz on Friday – those who receive a “B” or better will be able to check out the video cameras whenever they need one throughout the quarter. Students are learning how to use I-Movie, and their first video is coming together. Our first screening is scheduled for Wednesday.
