Science Fair on Feb. 5
At the Lighted Schoolhouse event on February 5th we celebrated all of the 8th and 7th graders' work of the past few months with a huge display of poster boards. Many parents, teachers and the administrative staff came to meet the young scientists and see the projects.Â
The 8th graders worked on the projects from Dec. 1st through Jan. 25th. By the time the unit eneded, everyone learned a few new features & tricks about writing large documents in Word, graphing data in Excel,  making a poster board to summarize their work, and of course they made an oral presentation to their classmates. The culminating activity was the all-day "Judging-in-the-Classroom" event which was made possible by the parents, local college and  graduate students, teachers, and staff. The students took this opportunity to get nicely dressed and deliver on-going presentations of their project to the judges. A very special thanks to all of the parents that took time to come in and evaluate the projects!!!  This was wonderful!  The sincere interest and feedback was greatly appreciated!
