Welcome to Lincoln Hall Art!
This format is new to me, but you will find pertinent info here regarding the art classes here at Lincoln Hall soon!
I have been talking to all of the 7th and 8th grade students about the book “The World is Flat” by Thomas L. Friedman because I think it holds some interesting information about the world that our students are growing up in. The basic message is that many jobs that we take for granted will exist when these students graduate from college - may in fact not be there. In fact, such jobs as lawyer, doctor, and accountant, may change drastically due to the effects of globalization and the internet. One thing that Thomas L. Friedman says that I agree with is that the more creative graduates can be in defining or even creating their own jobs, the more successful they will be in finding employment when they graduate. If you have the time, check out this book!
