Grade 6: Today we discussed chapters 1 and 2 and created character profiles. Homework: Read ch. 3. Library tomorrow. Poems due Wed.

Grade 7: In LA, we completed pp. 562-564. In reading, we took notes on the first five vocab words and discussed ppp. 119-135. Homework: Read pp. 136-157. Rewrites due Thurs.

Grade 8: In LA, we peer reviewed our goals paragraphs. In reading, we read pp. 688 and 693. Then we completed worksheet p. 168 and wrote a review of a poem in our notebooks. Homework: Final Draft due Wed.

Grade 6: Today we took the last poetry test and began reading Animal Farm. Homework: Read ch. 1-2.

Grade 7: In LA, we took the grammar test and completed the section on compound sentences. In reading, we discussed pp. 86-118 and presented our character sketches. Homework: Read pp. 119-135. Rewrites of persuasive essays due Thursday.

Grade 6: Today we reviewed for the test and took notes on key terms for our next unit. Homework: Poetry Test tomorrow. Poem #2 due Wednesday.

Grade 7: In LA, we reviewed for the test. In reading, we finished our character sketches. Homework: Grammar Test tomorrow. Read pp. 100-118.

Grade 8: In LA, we wrote 10-15 sentences on our goals for high school. Then we analyzed these sentences for fluency. in reading, we complete poetry analysis notes for the three poems on pp. 678-685. Homework: Rewrites due tomorrow. Be sure sentence opening sheet is finished.

Grade 6: Today we read pp. 580-583 and completed review worksheets for the poetry test. Homework: Poetry Test on Friday.

Grade 7: In LA, we worked on conjunctions and interjections pp. 546-548. In reading, we discussed pp. 70-85 and worked on character sketches. Homework: Read pp. 86-99. Grammar Test on Friday.

Grade 8: In LA, we completed pp. 80-84 in the Write Traits book. In reading, we took the poetry test and read the poems on pp. 677-681. Homework: Rewrites of persuasive essays due Friday. Worksheet and rough draft of poem (in notebook) due tomorrow.

Grade 6: Today we read the poems on pp. 576-577 and completed the worksheet on pp. 115-116. Homework: Poetry Test on Friday.

Grade 7: In LA, we turned in our persuasive essays and completed the section on "Using Prepositional Phrases" (pp. 543-545). In reading, we worked on answering questions for pp. 50-69. Homework: Read pp. 70-85. Grammar Test on Friday.
