If any students or parents are nervous about what sort of content is on this year's science ISAT, a sample test has been included here:

Students can take this test online and then reflect on each questions after it is complete.

The science ISAT tests will be on Tuesday, March 2nd and Friday, March 5th.

Online Textbook/ Update of Curriculum

Now that the science fair is completed, we are starting to quicken the pace in the classroom. The focus between now and the middle of March is how DNA affects us as people.

We are looking at how our cells divide - both through mitosis and meiosis, as well as how DNA leads to the production of proteins. We will also be spending two weeks looking at genetics and punnet squares.

Much of this information will be coming from the Cells and Heredity textbook. This textbook can be found online at:

2nd Quarter Grades

All 2nd Quarter grades have been updated and finalized. The final parts of the science fair project - the boards, pictures, and background information, is due this week.

Boards for periods 6 and 9 are due on Monday.

Boards for period 2 are due on Wednesday.

Boards for periods 3,7, and 10 are due on Friday (no late work accepted)

These due dates are different due to different amounts of days spent in the computer lab working.
