Thursday, March 11th.....What did we do?

Homework:  None
-Today we started class by turning in the worksheet questions 1-14.  Students read pages 4-9 in their textbook to answer these questions.  The worksheet was titled "Directed Reading A."

-We then completed our Bull's Eye Contest.  At that point all students turned in their completed "Projectile Motion Lab."

Wednesday, March 10th.....What did we do?

Homework: Read pages 4-9 in your new Physics book and answer questions 1-14 on your worksheet

-Today we turned in our chemistry cartoon and chemistry textbook

-Students worked on Bull's Eye Contest. This is a contest where students must hit a bull's eye using an inclined plane and a projectile. Students must use their graph that they collected in the Projectile Motion lab to accurately hit the bull's eye. The closer they are to the bull's eye the better their percent error and ultimately the grade on their lab.

Tuesday, March 9th.......What did we do?

Homework: 1. Read pages 4-9 in your new physics book. Then answer questions 1-14 on your worksheet for THURSDAY 2. Your chemistry cartoon and chemistry textbook is due tomorrow 3. Your Projectile Motion lab will be turned in tomorrow. Finish the questions you can tonight for homework

-Today we learned to identify a proportional relationship

-We learned how to calculate percent error using an equation

-We passed out our new Physics book

-We completed the Projectile Motion Lab in class

Monday, March 8th.......What did we do?

Homework:  Chemistry cartoon due this Wednesday.  We will also turn in our chemistry textbook on Wednesday.

-Today in class we started by reviewing lab safety and procedures for the "Projectile Motion Lab."  This is the second day that students are working on the experiment.  Most students identified the independent and dependent variables.  They also listed the variables that were controlled.  Finally,  they started collecting data by dropping their sphere from three various heights on the inclined plane.  The next step will be to graph their data.

Thursday and Friday, March 4-5th......What did we do?

Homework: Chemistry cartoon is due Wednesday, March 10th. Follow the directions to help you.

-Today we started by going over the "Chemistry Cartoon" assignment.

-We then began our discussion on projectile motion. We have now left our study of Chemistry and have begun Physics. We started our first lab titled "Projectile Motion." This objectives of the lab are:

A. Determine what projectile motion is

B. Determine the distance a sphere is projected when dropped from different heights on an inclined plane

C. learn to calculate percent error
