Genocide Unit

Students are involved in their study of genocide with the Holocaust. This unit is enhanced by their Literature Circles in Reading class. We will examine how the Holocaust happened and apply the United Nations Convention to other atrocities that have occurred and are still happening in Darfur, Sudan.

Genocide Project

Seventh graders have studied the Holocaust. Their current group project is to research other human rights violations and apply the stages and standards for genocide to these other cases.

They will present their research as power point presentations.
