LA: We will begin outlining for their research papers this week. We will also work on creating attention-grabbing introductions this week. Students will learn various strategies for writing interesting introductions. We will also continue to work on sentence fluency, using transitions words, and organization in writing this week.
Week of Oct. 1-5

L/A: Students obtained their resources this week for their animal project and science fair research papers. By the end of the week students should have 15-20 note cards complete, 4 source cards completed. We will continue taking notes the rest of this week and beginning of next. Students who have completed their note-taking will begin outlines Monday. So far everyone is off to a great start!
Homework: Students should turn in “Show Don’t Tell packet” Tuesday with 5 examples completed.
