Love and Logic for Teachers and Parents
Submitted by Love and Logic on Tue, 2007-04-10 11:49.Love and Logic is a philosophy for adults that makes being with toddlers/children/teenagers more fun! Whether you’re a parent or teacher or both, the Love and Logic Institute has training and materials available for you.
Love and Logic gives adults the words to say when your child/student is battling you for control of a situation. Love and Logic teaches adults how to take care of themselves, so that children/students don’t wear them down or out. The goals of the Love and Logic Institute are to teach kids how to be responsible citizens by making good decisions.
Lincoln Hall spent a good deal of staff development time learning and implementing some of the principles and methods of Love and Logic last year. Todd and Rutledge teachers also spent time investigating the program. Some teacher and principals have attended a day-long workshop with co-founder Jim Fay, who is a marvelous teacher and storyteller. There is a workshop for parents and teachers presented by the equally gifted teacher and speaker Dr. Charles Fay (Jim’s son) on Friday, May 4th in Evanston (details on the website listed below).
