The Hockey Unit

6th Grade students are in the midst of the 10-day floor hockey unit.  We have been practicing our puck handling skills by weaving through cones and participating in drills.  Students have been placed on teams and have been playing games for the past two days.  During the games, students are required to wear safety goggles and goalies have to wear a face mask and pads.  Ask your son or daughter: what direction(s) can the goalie legally throw the puck to his or her team mates?

The Basketball Unit

The sixth graders are beginning the first half of the 20 day basketball unit.  Students will spend time learning how to: properly shoot, pass a basketball, play in position, and play games.  We will also go over scoring, fouls and general rules.

The 8th Girls Volleyball Team did it again...

The Lady Jaguars defeated yet again another team.  Lincoln Hall had their first home game of the season against Old Orchard on Friday, September 21st.  Rachel F. had a 9 point scoring rally during the first game.  Despite a jammed finger, Kelsey G. set up her fellow team mates flawlessly.  They beat the Bulldogs with a score of 25-7 during the first game and 25-20 to wrap up the match.  The Lady Jaguars are off to a GREAT start to their season with a 3-0 record, keep it up!!!

Flag Football

The sixth graders are finishing up their flag football unit at the beginning of next week.  Students have spent the past fifteen school days: practing throwing spirials, catching, learning the positions, and playing games.  Study guides were handed out and our written test will be on Monday, September 24th.
