GO CUBS!!!!Â
On May 15th the seventh graders enjoyed a day at the ballpark. We all had a great time, especially when the Cubs beat the San Diego Padres 4-0.

SEVENTH GRADERS AT EXCHANGE CITY
We had two wonderful days! Thanks to the students, staff, and our parent volunteers.

SEVENTH GRADERS PREPARE FOR EXCHANGE CITY
Students have spent many hours of instruction and preparation for their visit to Exchange City, November 19th and 20th.
EXCHANGE CITY KICK-OFF
This week seventh grade students began their simulation of Exchange City.
The unit is designed to be exciting and challenging. The guiding principles of the experience for Exchange City are the following:
- Students learn best through "real" experiences
- Understanding grows with trial and error
- Students learn multiple skills when they work together
- Learning occurs when students build upon what they already know, enabling them to make sense of new information and experiences
This week students made laws for our Exchange City and were introduced to jobs in the city. In Language Arts they are writing resumes and in Social Studies they will decide on job applications or running for public office.
Many thanks to the twenty-five parents who will join us for this experience on November 19th or 20th. You will be receiving more information about training. If you would like to join us, please contact a seventh-grade teacher or call the office and we will be in touch.
